Authorities called the incident an «extremely unfortunate incident» when Sheriff’s deputies in California shot and killed a teenager unintentionally when he tried to stop the dog. Deputies opened fire when they were attacked by a pit bull. It happened in the city of Palmdale.
First deputies arrived on the scene, due to complaints about the noise at 3:45. There they were attacked by a pit bull Terrier and one of them bit his leg. The noise ran out 17-year-old and tried to pacify the dog.
While the guy took the dog, deputies called paramedics. Then the dog attacked them. One employee had to open fire. Only been used 6-8 rounds. The dog tried to escape and the police began to pursue him, but collided with the teenager, who was shot in the upper torso. The guy was hospitalized. Already in hospital doctors pronounced him dead.
Aunt of the deceased said that the boy tried to rescue a dog friend. The dog was also wounded. Later, his owner reported that he died. Now this case is investigated by multiple agencies, including the L. A. County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, Homicide Bureau and Internal Affair Bureau.
