In California the SUV at speed and flew into the pool with the kids (photos)

Eight people were injured yesterday evening, June 25, after a SUV struck a brick wall and fell into the pool in San Pedro, California.

According to preliminary information the police, the accident occurred at about 19.30 hours in the 200 block Gaffey Street.

The driver of the SUV the Toyota was driving down the street in a westerly direction when he lost control, struck a brick wall at the Vagabond and fell in the pool.

At this time the pool was at least two dozen people, among them children aged 6 to 10 years.

Eight people were injured, one of the victims was hospitalized, but, according to doctors, his life is out of danger. Of the children no one was hurt.

Jonathan Zayas worked at the gas station across the street when I heard screeching brakes and a thud.

«I ran there. People tried to lift the car, I pulled this guy out of the car, he gasped for breath, and someone gave him a heart massage» — he said.

Police in Los Angeles said that the investigation is being conducted, which will determine whether the 20-year-old driver is drunk or under the influence of drugs.
