Firefighters arrived on call to the Church, discovered slot machines

The Church is widely perceived as a house of worship, where people come to communicate with God or to just be, so to speak, fertile atmosphere. But the incident that occurred recently in Houston (Harris County, TX), will force many to reconsider their views. The fact that the Church World of Life gave the opportunity not only to pray with the congregation of God, but also to play gambling, reports TV station Khou.

In the local fire Department on Friday, November 23rd, around 19:30 the call came in: in the house of prayer, located at 403 Turney Dr., there was a fire — reported electrical fire (caused due to bad wiring and faulty heating appliances). Crews immediately went to rescue people and the building. But it turned out that there is no fire, but man, that just trapped with several other companions in misfortune: they could not go outside because of locked the electronic lock on the door.

When firefighters got inside to make sure that everything is in order, they were surprised by the unexpected boon: a large games room with hundreds of slot machines. To the rescue was summoned local police, who arrested one man on the issued warrant and detained for questioning several. Later the detainees were released.

As reported by journalist of the TV channel in the Sheriff’s office, the police during the search found no actual money would change in the game room, and hence it is quite legitimate.

UPDATE: The Sheriff’s office says they haven’t found any REAL money being exchanged in the game room, which makes it legal. Deputies this amazing church with a warrant just two weeks ago, adding this is under investigation and no one has been arrested. #khou11 https://t.co/gozQxVZDZ4
