Missing air force Sergeant, his wife and 2 daughters killed in crash on thanksgiving

The family members who went missing on thanksgiving Day, died in a car accident East of Billings (Montana).

22 Nov Sergeant of the air force Anthony James Dean, Calli his wife Kay and their two daughters, Mary Caitlin (5 years) and Avri James (1 year) — drove from the home of relatives in Caldwell (Idaho) in Ekalaka (MT) on his Toyota Forerunner.

According to Andy Schneider from the County Sheriff’s office Grand forks, the last time with them was a connection around 6:30 in the morning. Then they sent a message that will arrive by 11:30.

On Saturday morning, November 24, the highway patrol found a blue SUV in the Creek. Investigators believe that the family was driving on highway 94 about 7 a.m., when at some point the driver of the car lost control and crashed into a road divider. Then the car flew into the air, crashed into a concrete support of the bridge and landed in a ravine.

The patrolmen could not immediately detect a broken car because of the surrounding bushes and a large distance that it threw. In the end, they found the car after the cell phone rang.

In a car accident no one survived.

«At such moments just words are not enough,» said major Eric Ankenbrandt, 69th squadron commander. «Let their friends and family will have strength and patience to endure this sad time.»

According to the official information of the U.S. air force, the family moved from Caldwell in Manvel after Anthony was transferred to the air force base County Grand forks, where he headed the crew of the RQ-4 Global Hawk. Calli Dean was a member of the voluntary fire brigade in Manvel (Montand).

The accident occurred at about HUNTLEY (MT), about 13 miles East of Billings.
