Tragically ended the trip to the U.S. for Russians Melanzana Amara. After an unsuccessful attempt to enter the American territory, he was sent to the immigration jail where he was awaiting the completion of the trial.
In the end, U.S. authorities decided to deport the Russians. In protest, Amar went on hunger strike, and on 15 November, guards found him hanging. Day doctors struggled for life of an illegal immigrant, but was unable to save him.
The Immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) stated that the cause of death of a Russian citizen is hypoxic brain injury, which he received as a result of suffocation. According to police, the man committed suicide as soon he was deported.

In the month of October Amar gave an interview to journalists of the Crosscut. He told them about the hunger strike, which began after the court decision, and the reasons which prompted him to seek asylum in the United States.
«I would rather die on this earth than to return to Russia», — said the publication of Amara
The man claimed that came to the US from Buryatia, where he regularly bullied by the local skinheads. According to him, he also became a victim of political repression, because he wanted to see your region independent of Russia.
In December 2017 Amar tried to illegally cross the border near the crossing point, San Ysidro (California). The man was detained by the United States Border patrol, after which he was taken to immigration jail.
The Russians filed a request for political asylum, but the court rejected it. As a result, in November, Amara was about to be deported to their homeland. Protesting, the man announced on 16 October a hunger strike, and a month later he was found hanged.
