A woman with a year-old child were walking through the Park at Rossview High School, when suddenly a storm sewer grate collapsed under her. According to rescuers, the depth of flow was 20 feet (about 6 m).

It happened in the evening when it was already dark. Fortunately, the shouts of the victim and child were heard by passers-by and called 911.

«We arrived on scene and immediately heard the loud cry of a baby. And it was good news. That is, in this case, to hear the screaming — it is better than not to hear any voices. We tried as soon as possible to get them out, but there were complications. However, after half an hour and the woman, and the child is brought to the surface,» said Clarksville fire Randy Ellis.
