The first response to a family secretthat 4 brothers and sisters were trying to unravel for several decades, was found 6 feet below the basement in a house on long island.
The story began in 1961, when Michael Carroll from lake grove was just 8 months old.
In a small cottage on Olive Street is crowded in the forest there lived a veteran of the Korean war George Carroll, together with his wife Dorothy and their 4 children: 9-year-old Patricia, 7-year-old gene, 5-year-old Stephen and 8-month-old Michael.
Once George Carroll was gone. Michael, of course, doesn’t remember it, but the older children remembered that mother said that the father just left home and never returned.
«I always said, «don’t ask». And I stopped,» says Michael.
The police investigation has stalled, and the disappearance of men began to acquire rumors. Someone said that George Carroll returned to Korea, he cannot forget since the war, who for some reason was sure I killed him and buried the body under the house.
After a while Carroll was declared dead, and the house on Olive Street settled, married to Dorothy, a Richard Darress. Wandering through their rooms, Michael remembered the old rumors that his father’s body can be under the house. He even called the psychic and the group of researchers of paranormal phenomena.

October 30 this year, a man and 2 of his sons was discovered at a depth of 6 feet below the basement a skeleton. And this week, representatives of Suffolk County announced that the remains belong to George Carroll.
«I took a chance. I could do all this and not find anything — think of it, I just would have spoiled the basement, said Michael News 12. But I’m glad if you can speak, this discovery. Father’s soul will find peace, and our family may finally get all the answers.»
«DNA extremely well preserved in skeletal remains, even after nearly 60 years. It is established that the man was murdered — he died from a blow to the head,» said medical examiner Suffolk County Michael Kaplan.
The investigation is continuing, but children of George Carroll say they won’t speculate about what happened in that distant fateful day. They just want to bury my father with all of its veteran honors.
