In the largest city of South Dakota light aircraft crashed in a residential area

The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday in Sioux falls (South Dakota).

Light aircraft, for unknown reasons, fell in the middle of a residential area. In a plane crash two houses badly damaged, and at the crash site of air transport was on fire. At least one person was killed.

The head of emergency management Sioux falls during the official briefing said that the incident occurred at about 17:00 local time. The plane crashed between two houses located on South Birchwood Avenue. At first, people heard the shrill sound, and moments later, right outside the buildings collapsed light transport.

Local residents tried to approach the crash site to help the pilot, but the resulting fire quickly engulfed the remnants of the plane. Due to a spilled during the crash the fuel, the fire quickly spread to tens of meters. Besides, at falling the plane has damaged two homes whose owners are in horror ran out from buildings.

Soon to a scene there arrived the fire brigade, which quickly localize the source of fire. Within an hour the fire was extinguished and emergency services began searching for survivors. The body of the pilot has already been discovered. He had no chance to survive, because when falling the plane has completely collapsed. The occupants of the four houses temporarily resettled.

Now firefighters are engaged in liquidation of consequences of the crash and trying to figure out whether the plane passengers. Also it is not excluded that in the time of the crash on the ground could be people. According to the authorities of the city, the death toll may increase. The final briefing will take place Wednesday morning.
