In the last 2 weeks in Santa Monica (CA) there have been 15 fires in trash containers near homes. The police is convinced it is the work of a pyromaniac.
22 Dec has recorded at least 8 arson, and January 1 — 7. Most of them were committed in the alleys North of Santa Monica Boulevard, but at different times of the day, so investigators have not yet established the principle according to which the arsonist selects objects.
A resident of Santa Monica took video of a burning trash container near his home in the 1100 block of 12th Street. She and other residents of the area believe that it was arson. «The idea that it (the fire. — USA.one) may have on electricity pylon or on a house nearby, terribly worried and does not sleep at night,» says the woman.
The fact that ignition occurs dangerously close to homes, many are concerned. Fortunately, reports of injuries or significant damage have been reported yet, but playing with fire to no good arguments.
