In the house of an influential activist ed Tank the second time in 18 months, was found dead African American

On the morning of 7 January, another man was found dead in the apartment of a famous sponsor of the Democratic party and political activist Edward Buck.

Jackie Tepper, who lives next door, said she was walking her dogs when she saw a man entered the house Tank around 00:15. The police and ambulance arrived at the 1200 block of Laurel Avenue around 3:45 a.m. and found the victim, 50-year-old African American unconscious. After a few minutes he died. The cause of death remains unknown. The victim’s name has not been disclosed.

A year and a half ago, on July 27, 2017, the apartment Tank died from an overdose of another man — 27-year-old Jemel Moore. The death was ruled an accident. The tank was home at the time, but, nevertheless, was not a suspect. The police didn’t arrest him, citing lack of evidence. Mother Moore, latisha Nixon, said that her son had provided escort services and used drugs. According to the diary of Moore, he was in a relationship with a Tank and he gave the guy his first dose of methamphetamine. «It seems that turning a blind eye, because my son was a black gay man, and ed Bak — rich white politician», — said in desperation, Nixon.

Detectives from Department on investigation of murders not only conduct a thorough investigation of the new incident, but reopened the case after Gemela reaction from his friends and family.

Tank lawyer Seymour Amster believes that the evidence in the case of Moore «fabricated». He also said that the man who died on the 7th of January, was friends with the Tank 25 years and had taken drugs before the visit to him. Amster added that Tank for some time been in the shower, leaving the guest alone, and did not take any drugs with the victim.

More than 100 people, including local residents, activists supporting African-Americans and local politicians gathered at Tank home on Monday evening, demanding the charges against him. The LGBT center of Los Angeles issued a statement calling the Sheriff Alex Villanueva «fully investigate this tragedy and to persevere in justice.»
