Despite the fact that the incident occurred in October, elementary school teacher Trina Abrams was fired only recently. And all thanks to the video, spread the social network, in which the woman drags the student by the wrist down the hall.
Last Sunday, January 6, angel Nelson, the mother of 9-year-old Alana, who is studying in Elementary School Wurtland (ky), posted a Facebook video from surveillance cameras.
«My son deserves justice, — the woman wrote in the description of the video. The fact that my son can not fully Express in words what he’s been through, means that we have to fight much harder for all children, especially those who can’t protect themselves.»
According to Nelson, her son had previously been diagnosed with autism, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression.
«In addition, his speech is also limited, wrote Nelson. — He has a IEP (Individual educational program), which helps to make sure that all his needs in school are met».
The record shows that the teacher out of the classroom and pulled the boy behind him, and then drags him through the corridors of the school. At some point Abrams stops and says «Arise!» and tries to pick it up, but when the child refuses to listen, she continues to pull. All this happens in front of other students.

«In the days that followed he had swelling and bruising on the wrist,» said Nelson, and noted that Abrams was responsible for the program for special needs at school.
The next day, after the video (i.e. 2 months after the incident) school district said the teacher’s dismissal, adding that this decision is not connected with the investigation.
The mother admitted to USA TODAY that his son is very hard, and she decided to share his story to try to prevent similar incidents in the future.
«I love him so much and wanted to be with him never happened,» said angel Nelson. According to the mother, her son will have to undergo intensive rehabilitation therapy.
