Officer Denise Westbrook went on the scene and assessing the situation, asked for help from colleagues. He was joined by officers of Mary Salazar and Mike Cox, and soon arrived Lieutenant James Huffman. Four people were needed to lure the dog into place with more gentle slopes. Throwing the rope on the animal, the officers safely pulled him to a safe place.
