Five children were injured in a fire in the Bronx. One child in critical condition

When the apartment fire in the Bronx this afternoon, eight people were injured, including five children. Four hospitalized, one in critical condition.

The fire originated in the Bronx on Webster Ave 1408 in the apartment on the 7th floor of a 22-storey houses Butler Houses approximately 13-30. Operational services worked pretty quickly. The fire was extinguished for about 14-00. Quickly the paramedics, who got a lot of work. The victims — children under 10 years old. Four people had to be hospitalized with various injuries. One child in critical condition was taken to Jacobi medical center.

The causes of the fire are being investigated, but apparently the children were in the apartment without adult supervision. The fire originated in the apartment very quickly, covering her entirely. Rescuers were called by the people who saw heavy smoke from the window and children’s cries for help. As eyewitnesses told NBC, «People were screaming when firefighters arrived, they rushed inside and started to knock the Windows and bring children, boys, girl and baby.» Bronx.news12 reports that among the victims, presumably, a teenage nanny, who was with the children. Suffered and a few adults, maybe it’s neighbors or the people trying to help children.

According to ABC, the parents of injured children and found they are now giving explanations to the police in the 42nd precinct.
