Terrible discovery on Tuesday morning, March 5, was made by the employees of the County of Los Angeles in Hacienda Heights. They were pruning bushes to the South of Hacienda Boulevard and Glenmark Drive, when on the Hiking path on the mountain slope across the girl’s body.

A law enforcement source told channel KTLA that a body was found inside the bag or suitcase.
However, according to Lieutenant Scott Hoagland, the suitcase was found «in close proximity» from the body. The policeman added that maybe the body was inside, but fell out when the bag was thrown from the track.
«Apparently, he was thrown from the roadway, which is located nearby, just above,» said Hoagland.
Investigators believe that a body left in this place more than a day ago. There is no information on whether on the body visible signs that the child was killed. The cause of death was not made public, it will establish a forensic examination.
«We’re investigating it as a homicide, but while we lack many details,» said Hoagland. He added that investigators are looking for anyone who might have information about a missing child that age.
Chief County of Los Angeles Janice Hahn released an official statement after finding the body of a child, calling the incident a tragedy: «I believe that the police will establish the identity of this girl and find someone who will be responsible for her death.»
