A man shot his wife and friends who tried to prevent him drive drunk

A man from the state of Mississippi, shot his wife and two friends at a party on the occasion of birthday of the spouse after they tried to prevent driving while intoxicated.

The tragedy occurred last week, and recently 30-year-old Michael Barnhill was charged with three counts of murder. He is in jail without the right of bail.

According to witnesses, the party on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of Marley John Barnhill passed in the house of her fellow spouses of Harelaw.

«At first they had fun, but then Michael Barnhill got really drunk and started acting aggressive, said Sheriff County Carroll Clint Walker. Marley took her husband’s car keys because he was trying to go somewhere. She was absolutely right, wanted to protect Michael and the other drivers».

Then Michael ran to the truck, pulled out a gun and fired at the chest of his wife, and then shot the owners of the house — 44-year-old Jim Harrell and his 39-year-old wife Brooks. Two other guests of the party rushed to the second floor of the house to protect the sleeping 10-year-old son Carrello. As a result, women were saved.

Marley Barnhill and Jim Harrell died at the scene, and Brooks Harrell died when she was transferred to the helicopter rescue.

According to the Sheriff, after the incident the accused ran away from home, but returned later when there was already the police, and «was acting like he didn’t know what happened.»

However, the surviving witness identified him as the shooter, and then the man was arrested he resisted arrest.

The barnhill could face the death penalty.
