«I sit and cry looking at her picture» the father confirmed the death of his daughter, who sat in the car thinking that Uber

A student of the University of South Carolina (USC) 21-year-old Samantha Josephson, who went missing in the night of March 29, was found dead.

According to police, the girl was last seen by friends at about half past one in the morning near Five Points in Columbia (South Carolina). The police reported that she sat in a black Chevy Impala after 2 o’clock in the morning, considering that car is Uber, it has aroused. Soon came the real driver that canceled the trip when Samantha didn’t come.

Throughout the day friends and family could not contact the girl, therefore, appealed to the police to start looking. In the end, law enforcement officers found Samantha already dead.

Information about the death of a student confirmed by the President of USC, Harris Pastides.

«Our prayers are with the family and friends of Samantha Josephson, said Pastides. — In times like these I’m looking for words of wisdom and comfort.»

Father of Samantha, Seymour Josephson, wrote a heartbreaking Facebook post dedicated to his beloved daughter.

«I’ll miss you and love their girl till the end of life. Samantha is no longer with us, but she will not be forgotten — wrote the grieving father. — It is hard to write this post, but I love her with all my heart. I could continue to write about it, but it’s killing me. I sit and cry looking at her picture».

It is with tremendous sadness and of a broken heart that I post this! I will miss and love my baby girl for the rest…

Uber urges users to check that the details of the driver and car information in the app. Drivers also reported the customer’s name.

«In those cases, when you arrange a ride through Uber someone who might have had some alcoholic beverages or unfamiliar with the app, you help him twice to make sure that the driver and the vehicle complies with the details in the application — before they get in the car,» said Wade Stormer, an employee of Uber liaison with law enforcement.

It is unknown where the body was found of Samantha, as well as the cause of her death. Police Department of Colombia, which is investigating the murder of a student, was not informed about the arrests in this case.
