According to the Newton County Sheriff Glenn Wheeler, a 20-year-old Andrea Norton died on Saturday, April 13, when accidentally fell off the cliff at Hawksbill-crag — a popular tourist destination near Jasper (ar), which is about 101 mile Northwest of little Rock.

According to her obituary, at the time of the tragedy, the girl was Hiking with College friends.

«Her light, courage and commitment have attracted the people, — is said in the obituary. — She inspired those who knew her as the best version of herself… Her smile could light up a room and she brought joy to all who surrounded her».

Norton was a native of Hot springs (South Dakota). She studied on scholarship as a member of the symphonic choir and a member of the team in women’s volleyball.

On Saturday evening, visit Briar Cliff University in Facebook post appeared, dedicated to Norton. In it a girl was called «the master who was passionate about his speciality — ecology, a model student and dedicated athlete.

«She lived BCU values in all that was done in class, in court and everywhere, wherever she went,» reads a statement from the University.

County Sheriff reported that the area where he died in Norton, considered one of the most photographed tourist areas of Arkansas. In recent years there killed several people.

We will remind that the day after the death of Norton another student, 22-year-old Sidney Monfries, died after falling from a 12-meter bell tower on the campus of Fordham University.
