Vandals ransacked a Jewish cemetery in Queens, stealing materials worth $30 thousand

Police looking for vandal who looted tombs at a Jewish cemetery in Queens, dismantling and removing materials at a cost of $30 thousand

According to police, the incident occurred in the Beth Olam Jewish Cemetery in between Friday and Sunday. This cemetery is located in Ridgewood (Queens) on Cypress Hills Street, near the border with Brooklyn.

The first theft was discovered a cemetery employee on Sunday at 6 am. At that moment the man saw that the tombs are located close to each other, disappeared on 7 doors, and reported the incident to the police. Later it turned out that it was stolen a lot more than I thought employee of the Beth Olam Jewish Cemetery.

All the thief stole door 14 and 75 of the vent valve 7 crypts. Estimated value of all stolen items is about $30 thousand.
