One of the two students who opened fire on school property in the suburbs of Denver (state of Colorado), identified as 18-year-old Devon Erickson.

Recall that the shooting occurred on Tuesday, may 7, the day at 13.53 local time in the campus school, STEM School, Highlands Ranch. In the shooting dead 18-year-old, 8 students were injured, some of the injured are in critical condition.

The Sheriff’s office Douglas County has confirmed that the owner of one of the shooters, the second was a juvenile, his name was not made public. According to The Denver Channel, a second shooter, a student is transgender, which is in the process of transition from girl to guy.

Police were seen near the house in highland springs, which, presumably, belongs to the parents of Erickson, James and Stephanie. Page the mother of the suspect on Facebook was deleted shortly after the news broke about the shooting.

Several sources reported that one of the suspects had previously used drugs and had been in therapy.

Sheriff Spurlock refused to give the names of the injured students, but said that they are all at the age of 15 years old or older.

Campus STEM School of Highlands Ranch is located just seven miles from the school, «Columbine«, where 13 people were killed and more than 20 injured on 20 April 1999.

One user tweeted: «20 years later, 7 miles from «Columbine», and zero action taken in Washington to protect children from violence with a weapon».

The white house has released the following statement about the shooting:

«Our prayers are with the victims, family members and all those affected by the shooting at STEM School in Highlands Colorado. Unfortunately, this community is too well known for such acts of violence.»
