The child opened presented him a box of Lego, but inside they found drugs worth $40 thousand

Three residents of Georgia bought a package of Lego during a visit to a thrift store in South Carolina. At home it turned out that in fact the package is filled with three pounds of illegal substances worth about $40 thousand

Bullock County investigator Jim Riggs told The Statesboro Herald that the women gave the toy to the child who opened the package and found three pounds of methamphetamine.

I love consignment stores; would never expect this:

A child opens a box of legos and finds $40K worth of meth inside.

A woman from Georgia bought the legos at a consignment store. They turned it in to Sheriff’s deputies. #11Alive https://t.co/5GbSC9jqIn

Sheriff’s deputies said that the woman took drugs to the Sheriff’s office, who contacted the Office for the fight against drugs. Riggs noted that the drugs were probably sent to the wrong address.

He explained that drug dealers often send to the address where no one lives, then to take it in, but the U.S. postal service generally does not deliver parcels to such addresses. Instead, they either leave the parcels to neighbors or sell them at auction, if the parcel no one is looking.
