The high school coach in Oregon defused an armed student

«I am happy that no one was hurt,» said Lowe, leaving school after the incident. «I’m happy that I was near enough to help the children.»

He said he was tired and wanted to go home to their loved ones. Several people met him in the Parking lot. The two men shook hands with Lou, and one woman hugged him and said, «Thank you.»

Police in a press release said that the arrested student was taken to Multnomah County Detention Center. He was indicted on several charges, including attempting to discharge firearms and weapons in school and endangering people’s lives.
