Woman transferred new friend from the Dating site $80000 to purchase a home, believing in his feelings a week after the meeting

Police in Georgia are hunting a man who reportedly met a woman on online Dating site, a week later agreed to marry her, coaxed her $80 thousand, and then left town, ending with his invalid wife all communication.

Police at GWINNETT County received a warrant for the arrest of John Martin hill (35), who is accused of theft of funds by deception. In addition, police believe that hill could pull off similar crimes in 4 other States.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the woman of Alfarata told the police that he had met with hill on the Dating site March 27. The couple met each other personally on the same day when they first exchanged messages.

Michel Pierre of police GWINNETT said: «During their short romance, he convinced her that they love each other and want to purchase a home. They engaged in the examination of suitable proposals on the real estate market and chose the house they liked».

The pier added that the couple decided to get married within weeks after meeting.

The police said that hill told the woman that if he were a millionaire, and somehow convinced her to give him more than $80 thousand for the purchase of the house and its furnishings. But after she translated hill’s money, the man disappeared and stopped with her all communication.

Investigators later determined that hill was living with another woman and a child at home in Duluth, and that he was known under different names: he changed 5 names in less than 3 years. He allegedly pulled the same stunt in Delaware, Maryland, new Jersey and Virginia.

GWINNETT police asks anyone with information about the whereabouts of hill, to contact detectives at 770-513-5300 room.
