On Saturday, the employee of the supermarket chain Walmart collecting carts at Cross Roads, when one of them came across a large rat snake. He screamed loudly, which attracted the attention of a police officer, who was patrolling in the area.
The police brought John Heckaman known as «the snake Charmer» to help them to remove the reptile. Heckaman (from Savannah) was able to safely move a snake, although during this process, the reptile bit him once.
On pictures placed on the police Department page on Facebook that shows a John with a big reptile, which on average reaches a length of 3-5 feet.
The authorities explained that due to the recent heavy rains many snakes had to leave their usual habitats. The police warned: «This proves that they can appear almost anywhere».
