«Go to him to the dump and don’t come back»: residents of Virginia beach was outraged to 10 tons of trash left on the beach after memorial Day

Residents of Virginia beach was left furious after the campers arrived on memorial Day, left on the banks of the tons of debris.

Pictures and videos that the residents shared on Facebook, seen the mountains of cans, towels, garments, bags of chips and other things that remained after Floatopia, an annual event designed to celebrate the unofficial start of summer.

For example, a video of the impact of the tourists was shot by Melissa Noel and quickly became viral on Facebook. The video has attracted the attention of both local residents and government representatives. «I was upset when I woke up this morning and saw the mountains of trash on our beautiful beach, Chesapeake Bay, remaining after the weekend,» wrote Twitter representative of the local authority Michael Berluchchi. «We can be better! Let us work together to make our city beautiful».

Citizens, in turn, left a lot more angry messages. For example, a local resident Linda Berardi wrote: «You left on the beach piles of garbage. You are not welcome here. Go to his dustbin and never return!» — she wrote.

«It was abandoned by people who didn’t appreciate anything!», «People who are so do not respect their society in a day when we give thanks for their freedom, should be ashamed» — outraged residents.

This video has now gone viral. All of the trash is from Sunday’s event called ‘Floatopia’ which is held on Chic»s Beach in #VirginiaBeach. We spoke to Melissa Noel who took and shared the video on Facebook. We have the story coming up at 5pm on WTKR News 3. pic.twitter.com/B29fmNlPhm

Someone even proposed next year to postpone the Floatopia on the streets. «Landfill is a pond where you can swim. You will be there a little familiar».

And Andy Broyles, President of the National civic League, commented on the event: «Everything is done through social networking, so no one to point the finger. No permissions, no security and no mobile toilets».

As reported WAVY-TV, volunteers and the public company gathered on Monday to clean up the garbage left on the beach. They cleared and took 10 tons of garbage. Compare that figure with the 1 ton, which remains after a normal weekend. On Tuesday morning, the city thanked all those who helped clean up the beach.
