Director of Catholic schools was arrested in a strip club during a school trip

Director, Catholic school of Louisiana resigned after this week arrested him during a school trip to Washington.

According to The Advocate, on Thursday, Michael Como (47 years), the principal of the school Holy Family Catholic School in Port Allen, was arrested at a strip club during a school trip to the capital of the United States. At the time of the arrest of the Director, students 7 and 8 classes who participated in the trip, were in their rooms along with their mentors.

According to the police report, officers arrived at the club, because they were told that «the man in a condition of strong alcoholic intoxication, who refused to pay the bill» at the club Archibald»s Gentlemen’s Club in Washington around midnight.

Police found Como who «refused to move» the machine from the roadway, despite the fact that the staff repeatedly asked him about it. Shortly thereafter, the police arrested the Como, because he had an open container of alcohol, and he was in a state of intoxication in a public place.

Dan Bourne, a representative of the diocese of Baton Rouge, has confirmed that Como has resigned as Director of the school immediately after his arrest.

«Diocese of Baton Rouge confirmed today that Michael Comeau, principal of the school Holy Family School in Port Allen, was arrested on may 30 during a trip to Washington, paid for by the school,» said Bourne in a statement on Friday. «Mr. Como was the Director of Holy Family School for 5 years, and before that time worked in the field of education». He added: «Mr. Como filed an application for dismissal and will now be the interim Director of the school».

Some media reported that in a strip club Como was with his service dog, but a police report does not indicate that during the arrest the dog was.

School Holy Family Catholic School was founded in 1949 and is located on N Jefferson Ave in Port Allen in Louisiana. Newsweek turned to an educational institution with a request to comment on the situation Saturday, but have not yet received a response.
