School bus driver accused of driving drunk, blames all the bad donut

Linda sue Godaan (55 years) was accused of driving intoxicated after police said she passed the field sobriety test conducted on the spot when she was forced to slow down in spring, Texas on Thursday afternoon.

Constable mark Herman told KPRC-TV: «We asked the bus driver to get out of it and conducted a sobriety test, which she failed, whereupon she was immediately arrested.»

Witnesses said they saw a school bus driven by a woman, moves abnormally and called 911. A witness stated that the bus swerved into the left lane, striking the separator, and then returned. «When she ran into a wall, I was afraid that it would tip over because it wasn’t just the hitting, it was actually on the wall, the wheel started to climb up it,» said the witness.

The police said that the woman stopped when she noticed that the bus makes a sharp turn, which he almost turned over.

When Godaan was released from prison, she made a statement to reporters that did not drink for many years, and in his manner of riding has accused the donut I had that day. She said, «I Have so much stomach pains that I lost control. That’s all that happened. But at speeds of 45 mph this can lead to drift». When asked about the field sobriety test, which she failed, Godaan replied, «Because it’s hard, I can’t do it now.»

The police said that she was carrying about 30 students of YES Prep Public Schools’ North Forest when she was stopped by the police. Godaan told reporters that the parents of the children do not need to worry because their children went on her bus for a year and «nothing has changed».

In the office of the district attorney Harris stated that they plan to present the woman more serious charge, changing it to the drunk driving with passengers-children. «We found that one of the children in the bus were younger than 14 years old, that is a more serious crime,» said Shawn shooting from the district attorney’s office.

First Student, the company that hired Godaan, said she was suspended from work until the outcome of the investigation.

But even with the charges the police can’t assert definitely that Godan was in a state of intoxication, until the results of the analysis of her blood. Tyr said, «Until we get blood, we can’t know what was the real cause of her condition. You can be sure it was not a donut».
