7-year-old California girl put 1000 stitches, to restore the face after she was attacked by a dog breed Akita.
Representatives from riverside County said that the incident occurred on Sunday, June 2, in the nursery A Passion for Paws Rescue Inc., when a child he came with his family, planning to take home a dog.
According to police, the dog bit the girl in the right part of the face, when she decided to go and bent to the animal, bringing his face to his face. As a result, the child took a three-hour operation.
«Her injuries were quite shocking because they were deposited directly in the face, said John Welch, the U.S. representative of the Department of service animals. — It is terrible when such attacks happen to children.»
An employee of the Department Carr Mathewson said «took the dog for a quarantine period.» According to her, the kennel owner did not want to give Akita for euthanasia. He was assured that the dog is not aggressive.
In the end, the court ruled that because of the seriousness of the injuries the dog must be killed.
In the Department claim that in the same kennel there were five other similar incidents with the same dog breed. Two of them occurred last year.
«The investigation includes the study of several other serious bites that have been associated with dogs from the kennel,» reads the press release service animals.
