Police went to the house Martins in the suburbs of Chicago after a 911 call at midnight on Saturday. The operator heard in the tube sounds, from which the blood froze in my veins: the groans, wheezes, then footsteps and a female voice pleading, «No, Debbie.»
In the house on the Arlington heights police found the bodies of two old men with stab wounds. 71-year-old Ann Martin was lying in the kitchen with multiple stab wounds, and her husband, 72-year-old veteran David Martin in the living room, with her throat cut.

From the second floor came down their daughter Deborah Jane Martin, 43, who apparently just got out of the shower. Upstairs, police found bloody clothes Deborah and her writing. Them daughter Martin described in detail how he wants to kill the parents.
