Carolyn Warmus the killer of his wife’s lover, who pursued a man, was released from prison after 27 years behind bars

55-year-old Carolyn Warmus, who 27 years ago was convicted of the murder of the wife of her lover, was released on June 17.

In the late 1980s between the 23-year-old daughter of a millionaire, a teacher of elementary school of Westchester County (new York) Carolyn Warmus, just graduated from College, and her 40-year-old colleague Paul Solomon began a novel. The affair lasted a year and a half. According to Wormus, the man promised her that he will leave his wife as soon as their daughter graduated from high school. But the girl didn’t want to wait that long.

As argued by prosecutors, Warmus bought a gun from a private detective, and January 15, 1989 came to the house of Solomon, at the time, as he was waiting for her in the hotel bar, and nine times shot his wife Betty Jean Solomon.

Investigators initially suspected her husband of committing a crime, but later turned his attention to Warmus. As found by detectives, eight months after the murder, she pursued Solomon and his new lover during their vacation in Puerto Rico.

After the first trial the jury sentenced the girl to death, but in the second trial in 1992, Warmus was convicted of second-degree murder. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Warmus always insisted on his innocence and previously told CNN that she was a «victim».

The crime committed by Warmus, has attracted wide attention from the media, it even formed the basis of detective film «Deadly business: the Story of Carolyn Warmus». Because of the Intrusive behavior of girls and the history of its prosecution case Warmus was called «Fatal attraction» because of the similarity of this story with the same film where starring Michael Douglas and Glenn close.

Warmus first got eligible for parole in 2017, but the Commission refused. According to the Department of correctional services, until the end of his life, Warmus will have to comply with a curfew set by her officer on parole.
