Taken inspiration from the film: the woman decided to poison the groom eye drops after watching a romantic Comedy

The police said that a resident of North Carolina, obviously taken inspiration from the movies, when he decided to poison her fiance eye drops.

As described in the County Sheriff’s office Rowan, Jamie Lynn Cruz of Salisbury, about 40 miles northeast of Charlotte, were arrested on Saturday when her fiance saw what she puts eye drops in his soda.

Cruz said the deputies learned that the idea to add the drops in the drink of a young man after seeing the movie «wedding Crashers». It’s a Comedy of 2005, and in one scene John, the hero of Owen Wilson puts eye drops in a drink of his opponent Zachary Lodge, played by Bradley Cooper. «Joke» leads to the fact that the man is getting pretty bad, but the intention to kill Zachary Jack was not.

The woman told police that she just wanted her fiance became ill.

As told in police, the young man, seeing that makes Jamie, took the couple’s child, hid in the bathroom and dialed 911. Sheriff’s deputies found out that the couple was arguing about custody of the child, and the woman wanted to leave the house with my daughter.

She is charged with the supply of unhealthy or junk food, and punishment for offense in North Carolina is up to 25 months in prison.

Interestingly, the use of eye drops as a poison that was used previously. For example, Lana Clayton from South Carolina has admitted to killing her husband, adding drops in his drink for several days in July 2018, as described in the Sheriff’s office of York County. She was charged with murder and in October gave a public defender, despite the fact that she owned millions of dollars. It is reported that she is still awaiting trial.

Tetrizolin, a component that is found in eye drops, constricts blood vessels and can lead to breathing problems, slow heartbeat and even coma if used in doses exceeding recommended.
