The man broke the statue near the Church in Greenwich Village

The NYPD released a video which shows a man who destroyed some of the statues near the Church in Greenwich Village this week.

In the video, which was filmed by a surveillance camera is seen as unknown smashed the 4 statues in St. Anthony of Padua Church on Sullivan Street, and then climbed the fence and went West towards Houston. Police reported the incident after get 26 Jun.

Pastor Mario Gillian told ABC 7: «a Very angry man. I don’t know what to say about it. I can’t understand him. Angry, he saw the statue and thought: «that’s what I’ll do»».

As reported by the pastor, 4 repair of the destroyed statues will cost 8 000 or 10 000 dollars. The St. Anthony of Padua Church is the oldest Italian parish in the entire state of new York. The Church has even appeared in several films, including «the Godfather 2», «moonstruck» and «the Pope of Greenwich village».
