The Royal Bahamas police force has confirmed that on 19 June as a result of shark attacks killed an American tourist.
21-year-old Jordan Lindsay TORRANCE (CA) was Snorkelling with his family near Rose island, near new Providence. According to Deputy Commissioner Paul Roll, about 2 o’clock in the afternoon she was attacked by three sharks.
Her family noticed the approaching predators, but Lindsay did not hear their cries. The girl was pulled from the water and taken to Doctor’s Hospital in Nassau, where she was pronounced dead. The doctors reported that the shark bit off the right hand of Lindsay, and her legs and buttocks were covered with marks of sharp teeth.
«We miss her, said her father Michael Lindsay. She was so caring, she loved all animals. The irony is that she died as a result of shark attack».
