Thursday, July 4, in Peoria (Arizona) man cut the throat of 17-year-old boy. The murderer explained his motives to the police that because of rap music teen «did not feel safe»: so at 1:30 a.m., 27-year-old Michael Paul Adams lashed out at Elijah al-Amin, stabbed him in the back, and then slit his throat. Trying to escape, the teenager collapsed on the ground near the local shop.

However, a representative of a correctional institution claims that Adams could hardly be attributed to the «severe mentally ill», such a diagnosis he never put. Besides, the man before his release from prison was given the contact details of social services. Adams would have assisted and provided care, housing and welfare, if he had been in contact.
Elijah al-Amin was in high school, I worked at Subway and Taco Bell to save up for a car. He’s supposed to be 18, he was going to move to Seattle and have big plans for the future.
