Rosibel Flores-Rodriguez came to Iowa in search of better work and security from Honduras, along with his friend Marvin Osvaldo Esquivel-Lopez, which the immigration service knew how Marvin Oswaldo Escobar-Arellano. According to court records, between Esquivel-Lopez and Flores-Rodriguez had a quarrel, then the man shot her. Then, according to the witness, Esquivel-Lopez went into the house and shot the children. Ballistics proves it.
