The marine corps veteran from South Dakota was lucky to survive the accident with a lawnmower in which she injured her neck.
28-year-old Kendra Jensen of Bridgewater has shared photos open wound on the neck and stitches on his Facebook account.
The incident occurred near the house where Kendra lives with her husband Andy and two children. The woman collecting toys in the back yard when her husband was cutting the lawn with a lawn mower. In blades car hit an unknown object that abruptly flew straight into the side of Kendra’s and cut her neck.
«At first I thought I got hit by a stone. I hit something and fell nearby. I immediately felt a sharp pain and grabbed his neck. Only then did I realize that I’m bleeding,» — said Kendra, a local news portal.
The girl shares her photos during and after the operation on Facebook. 
Husband Kendra gave her first aid and stopped the bleeding until the ambulance arrives. 
The husband of the girl said that the incident was for their entire family a lesson.
Hearing the screams of his wife, Andy Jensen ran for the first aid kit and tried to stop the bleeding yourself. Someone called 911, and then the woman was taken to a nearby hospital.
The doctor said that the object that injured her neck Kendra was «in millimeters» from the carotid artery. The carotid arteries are located on both sides of the neck and deliver blood to the human brain. The gap one of the two arteries can kill a person in minutes.

«I was very lucky,» wrote Kendra the Facebook page after the incident. «I am grateful that my husband has passed first aid courses and he was able to act quickly and stop the bleeding until the ambulance arrived».
Portal GoFundMe was started to raise money to help the family cover the cost of treatment. As at 11.20 PM on Sunday and raised about 150$.
