The man from Park ridge (Il) was charged with first-degree murder after his mother was found dead Monday, July 29.

Police chief Frank j. Kaminski reported that 74-year-old Judith Kristinak was found with multiple stab wounds in a house in the 1900 block of South Courtland Avenue. It was an accident, when the officer and the social worker drove by Kristinak and noticed that on the lawn scattered debris. According to police, they both knew residents in the area and thought it strange.
Officers approached the house, hoping to speak to his people, but no one answered. On the same day, just after noon, police and social worker arrived at the same address to check the well being. They were met by 47-year-old David Kristinakwho lived there. They knew that men have problems with mental health. The question of where is his mother, Christinak replied that she was sleeping, and invited them inside. They checked the bedroom, but he saw women. Then the officer noticed a trash can in the living room with a bloody hand.
According to Kaminsky, inside the container they found the body of Judith with multiple stab wounds in the chest. Then the officers searched the house and found a sword with a length of 2 feet. After his arrest Kristinak admitted that he stabbed the mother.
«It’s unclear what provoked this tragic and sad event,» said Kaminski, noting that the mother and son had a good relationship, and informed about any domestic disputes were reported.

Investigators believe that the incident occurred on Sunday, July 28. Medical on cook County confirmed that the death was caused by murder. Kristinak must appear before the court on August 14.
