A man deliberately dropped to the ground, his younger son, who died after 5 days.
On Friday, August 9, 35-year-old Matthew Heusser from Woodbury (mn) was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of his 5-month-old son Gus. The incident occurred on April 24.

Later Heusser admitted to the police that the baby «cried and fussed» in the period from 19:30 until midnight. All this time the man tried to lull the child, but to no avail. Angry, Heusser dropped it on the floor upside down.
The next morning, the boy whined and refused to drink from the bottle. Noticing this, the child’s mother, Nicole Heusser, took him to the nurse. The woman managed to lull the baby, but when she went to change his nappy, he was «lethargic and quiet.» She called 911 and started doing CPR.
Gus was taken to Children’s hospital in St. Paul and then transferred to Children’s hospital in Minneapolis. In the incident the boy suffered multiple head injuries, including a fractured skull. He died after 5 days.
According to the criminal complaint, traumatic brain injury Gus was so heavy that, if he survived, he would still be blind, deaf, and unable to move.

Heusser was indicted on two counts of murder in the second degree. The judge set the bail in the amount of $350 thousand, and ordered him to stay away from his wife, who is now 10 weeks pregnant.
