In Wednesday evening the life of one family changed forever. Now they mourn the tragic death of three-year-old boy who police said accidentally shot himself in the head Wednesday evening from the gun of his dad.
Authorities said that the child, whose name has not been named by the media, took the weapon of his father, while the man was in another room of their home in Nitro, West Virginia.
The boy’s death stated in a local hospital shortly after the incident, which occurred at 18:30. «All it seems that it was a random shot»,- told reporters the chief of police Bobby Eggleton, giving an interview near the house of the deceased child. «At the moment we are investigating the incident. We remove the testimony from the boy’s father».
The police said that the child’s father put the gun and was preparing to leave home when the gun picked up the boy.
«He came into the room, and the father heard a shot. He ran into the room and immediately saw the condition of his son. He called 911,» — said Eggleton.
