Monday, August 26, as the result of an accident involving a stolen police car in Dayton (Ohio) lost two children and at least 9 people were injured.
According to police, it all started in the Dayton suburb of riverside, where a man stabbed a woman and fled the scene in a pickup truck, hitting it in an accident.

While the riverside police searched for the driver of the crashed pickup truck, the suspect who was still at the scene, jumped into the police car and drove it in Dayton.
There he crashed into three parked cars, including a van in which there were children.
Witnesses heard the screams and rushed to the broken van. Passers-by tried to get out of the van as many children as possible, but some of the victims were trapped in the car.
As reported at the briefing, the police major of Dayton Eric Henderson, two children died at the scene of the accident, 9 people were injured. Of these 9 have three children injuries are considered life-threatening.
It is known that in the van there were 11 people, including seven children.

The police took the suspect into custody. His name has not been disclosed. He also received injuries during the accident, but presumably not serious.
According to an eyewitness, Denorris Hopgood, he saw the time of the accident and immediately stopped his car.
«I tried to pull the children out of the van. It was a horrible sight,» said the man.
The incident occurred three weeks after the gunman killed nine people and wounded 17 others in Dayton.
