The police said that the girl’s mother was in the bedroom alone, when he heard a noise in the house. The woman was frightened because no one was waiting. She said that when she saw someone ran into the bedroom, she once shot his gun.
The police said that they were called to the scene of the incident at about 21:00. They called the victim’s boyfriend. Young Turks got a printout of the call of a young person to 911 in which he described the wound of the girl to the dispatcher: «My girlfriend just returned home from College, and her mother knew nothing about it. When officers arrived at the address, she found the girl 18 years «covered in blood». She walked down the driveway, and her hand was wrapped in a towel.
