A couple from Georgia were killed during the «journey of his life» in Baton Rouge (Louisiana). They went to the opening of the football season and the first game of the Georgia Southern University vs Lousiana State. So the couple wanted to mark the 25th anniversary of their marriage.

Danny Hagan (45) and his wife, Julie (43) was killed on Sunday after their Nissan Altima skidded, and the car has popped up on Interstate 16 near Swainsboro in Georgia. The driver lost control of the car in the rain and crashed into a tree, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Danny was pronounced dead at the scene, while his wife died later at the medical center Augusta University Medical Center, he told police.

The couple had 3 children – Matthew, Joshua and Madison, who are studying at Georgia Southern University.

Madison, the daughter of the couple wrote in a post on Facebook: «This is the worst pain I have ever encountered, and I can’t find the words to describe their feelings. They were my world and I will never see such love, which my parents bestowed all of whom met in life.»

Georgia Southern also made a statement, stressing that representatives of the University «is deeply saddened by the loss of two members of our family Eagle Nation». «The University representatives contacted the family to ensure that children are aware of our concern and our desire to fully help them,» he told the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a spokeswoman for the University, Jennifer Weis. «We are ready to provide support to children – our students – emotionally and academically in any way we can. We appreciate the support received from the family and our condolences go out together with the municipality of the University.»
