«It took some time. Skunk tried to attack firefighters. They said he will not give up. They sprayed him with a fire extinguisher but it did not help,» — said Betty.

Then fire killed an animal, so they decided that it might be infected with rabies. The victim received only minor cuts and scratches, and the doctors had assisted her in the hospital.

The tests showed that the animal was really mad because the girl will have to complete a full course of preventive injections, so she did not develop rabies.

Rabies is a very serious viral disease that affects the brain and spinal cord of mammals. The disease can be transmitted after a bite from an infected animal or if saliva that has the virus gets into the eyes, nose, mouth, a scratch, a cut, and similar wounds on the skin.

People who had contact with the virus as soon as possible to receive injections. When starting the symptoms of the disease, the outcome is almost always fatal.
