Delta passengers in a panic saying goodbye to loved ones after the plane began to plummet, dropping to 30 thousand feet in 7 minutes

A sharp decrease in the height of 30 thousand feet in 7 minutes has caused fear and panic on the Delta Air Lines flight flying from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday. The plane made an emergency landing in Tampa (FL).

About 35 minutes after takeoff there was a danger of cabin depressurization. The crew decided to drastically reduce altitude from 39 thousand to 10 thousand feet. Representatives of Delta Air Lines said BuzzFeed News that, although such problems are extremely rare, pilots prepare for emergencies depressurization of the cabin and the crew of the first had reduced the plane to the height at which the passengers do not need oxygen masks, and then made an emergency landing.

The passengers told of the terrible experiences that they had experienced. Suddenly, oxygen masks dropped and they heard the eerie howling sound of the engine when the pilot dove to descend. Flight attendants tried to calm passengers who said goodbye to loved ones and prepared for the worst.

Brandon Tomlinson, who was flying with her one-year-old son and mother, wrote on Twitter: «God Bless the crew and the captain of the flight 2353. We had an emergency in flight on route from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale. Oxygen masks dropped, we quickly declined and headed to Tampa. I wrote to his wife and father that love them. Told my mother that I love her, hugged her and son.»

Delta made an official statement: «We apologize to our customers on the 2353 flight from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale, without incident, landed in Tampa as a precaution because of a violation of pressure in the cabin during the flight».

The plane passes inspection, technical specialists, they investigate the cause of the incident.
