A prisoner from Wisconsin, confessed that he was behind the murder of Theresa Halbach, which Netflix removed the series «Creating a killer»

A resident of Wisconsin who is already in prison, confessed to the murder of 25-year-old photographer Teresa Halbach in 2005.

Currently behind bars in this case are two men. Both claim to be innocent. 57-year-old Steven Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassi have fought for years for their freedom. Dassi brought their case to the Supreme court, but to no avail, and Avery continues the appeals process. Now there is a high probability that the case of the Halbach will be reviewed.

In 2015, Netflix filmed this story, releasing the first series of the documentary detective series «Creating a killer» (Convicting a Murderer). And finally, in an interview with one of the prisoners confessed that in fact he killed Halbach.

«We have not confirmed the legitimacy of the recognition, but because it gave the famous convicted murderer from Wisconsin, we feel responsible for providing any evidence of law enforcement and legal teams, said Director Shawn Rech Newsweek. — Working within 20 months, we found unfathomable amounts of information and evidence that lead us to the truth. Our inquiry does not end there».

Rech added that it was Avery and not Dassi. Avery is serving a life sentence without parole. If it still will justify, it will be the second time when he was wrongly convicted of rape.

The name of the prisoner, who confessed to the crime, will not be named until then, until the police state will not have access to such recognition.

«Creating a killer», a documentary series of 10 parts, is currently under post production and will be released in 2020.
