Unemployed writer of children’s books, which «slowly went insane», killed his wife with 3 children and committed suicide

The body of the author of children’s books, is experiencing «difficult» times, found in his house in Massachusetts — along with the bodies of his wife and three young children. Allegedly, the man killed them and then killed himself.

Joseph Zaccardo, 43, and his family were discovered in a condominium in Abington (within 20 miles of Boston, mA). A family member, arrived at 7:30 in the morning to drive the kids to school, saw the corpse of his wife Zaccardo — 40-year-old Deirdre and immediately called 911.

Children — 11-year-old Alexis and 9-year-old twins Nathaniel and Catherine — was discovered next to his father in the other room. Presumably, they all died from gunshot wounds. It is not known when and in what order came the death.

District attorney Timothy Cruz said that the house was probably holding a weapon — but did not specify whether it was someone from Zaccardo right to own a gun. He added that authorities have yet to disclose details of the incident, as the investigation is still ongoing.

«In that house there was a horrible crime. he stressed — Three children were taken from us forever.»

On Facebook page where Joseph promoted his children’s books («All mixed up», «What kind of dragon you want to be»), the man called himself «unemployed and slowly going crazy». Deirdre worked as a Manager at EMI Strategic Marketing for 20 years and, according to colleagues, was «a wonderful woman, reliable employee and a good friend.» A week before the tragedy, she took the day off to celebrate the birthday of twins.

According to the chief of police of Abington, David Majenski, the family was not informed of cases of domestic violence.

«Today we have suffered a terrible loss — commented on the incident, the relatives of Zaccardo in the official statement and still trying to comprehend the enormity of this terrible event. We ask the media to respect our privacy at this difficult time».
