48-the summer citizen of Belarus Victor Sergel was sentenced to death for the brutal murder and beheading of eight girls.
According to local media, the evening of the tragedy, the convict and the child’s mother, Natalia Kolb, drunk. When the child’s father, Leonid Kolb returned home with two sons, he saw a terrifying picture: «his daughter lying in a pool of blood, and her head is severed».
«When Leonid entered the apartment, saw the scene of horror, – said the neighbor. The emergency room doctor fainted when I walked in».

The girl caused 46 injuries with a kitchen knife. As decided in closed session of Brest regional court, the child was severely beaten before he was killed, and the murder was committed with «exceptional cruelty.»
The neighbors thought that the family is «happy», and recently they baptized the child in the Orthodox Church.
Natalia was also convicted of murder and sentenced to 25 years in prison – the most severe punishment that a woman can get in line with the Belarusian legislation.
Belarus is the only country in Europe where death penalty is still used as a punishment. The execution can only men aged 18 to 65 years.
The person facing the death penalty, is blindfolded and forced to kneel. Then shoot them in the head.
The method is similar to the one that was used during the reign of Joseph Stalin in the USSR. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Belarus has executed more than 400 people.
The EU and various international organizations urged Belarus to end the death penalty.
