«The closer, the more it hurts»: in the shooting near a Walmart in Oklahoma has killed 3 people

Three people were killed on Monday, November 18, in a shooting near the Walmart in Duncan (OK). This was reported by the local police chief Danny Ford.

«We can confirm a shooting in the Parking lot of Walmart, said Ford. — One woman and one man were killed in the car, and one man near the car. At the scene was discovered the gun.»

A resident of Duncan, Aaron Helton, a veteran of the army, said he was at Walmart when around 9:45 a.m. he heard nine shots and saw the shooter with a gun in his hand. According to the witness, another man came to the unknown, put a gun to his head and told him to stop shooting.

Helton said he saw the gunman turned the gun on himself, so turned away. The police at the moment is not confirmed the information about the suicide of the shooter.

Tera Mathis, a spokesman of the police Department of Duncan, said that the names, ages and other personal details of the victims have not been disclosed. She refused to comment on reports that the shooting was an act of domestic violence.

Walmart spokesman Peyton McCormick told USA TODAY that no employee was involved in the shooting and were not injured, and the store was not evacuated.

«This was an isolated incident in the Parking lot, and it was not a situation with an active shooter,» said McCormick.

Public school briefly was locked.
