It three times swallowed Hippo: he lost his arm, but managed to survive

Paul Templer told the story of his incredible rescue in the book, which worked for 17 years.

One day Victoria falls tour group and experienced guides came upon the hippos. The animals were on safe enough at first glance, the distance and the guide did not worry. But Templer suddenly heard behind a loud splash near the boat capsized and one of the conductors was in the water.

Ho remembers how he shouted to another colleague to divert the tourists to the nearby stones, and in the next moment realized that something was wrong. Sex from the head to the waist was swallowed by a Hippo and struggling began to shake.

At some point a giant animal miraculously spat out the man: then Paul saw his colleague, who was struggling and tried to save him. Templer tried to swim closer, and I felt it again grabbed the Hippo, now for the legs.

The third time, the Behemoth grabbed Templer, the traveler felt a genuine horror.

Everything was in slow motion. The man saw a huge open mouth like an animal is going to bite it in half. And then I saw that the water turned red from his blood.

Paul was sure that either die from blood loss or drown.

His left arm was completely crushed. The body counted 38 wounds, through one of which could be seen light guide. But somehow, miraculously, Templer survived, while his colleague was killed.

Paul was taken to the nearest hospital. The arm had to be amputated.

His life changed in an instant. After the course of treatment and rehabilitation, Paul returned to active life. He wrote a book about his battle with a wild Hippo and inspired millions after his story was told on BBC, National Geographic Channel and Discovery Channel.
