Heroic stranger rushed into a burning forest to save a Koala

Koala almost died in a forest fire near Port Maquaire in New South Wales (Australia) — however, she saved the life of a brave local resident who literally chase the animal into the flames.

In the video, filmed 9News, scared Koala, whose body is covered with burns, goes on the road, staggered — but then, being completely disoriented, back in the thicket. The woman, known only as Tony becomes a witness to a terrible sight and, without hesitation, rushes to the rescue.

Eyewitnesses managed to shoot, as Tony runs to the Koala, takes off his shirt to wrap her pet, cuddle and make out of the thicket, where waiting firefighters already ready to take the animal at the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.

Fortunately, according to hospital staff, now the Koala is already on the road to recovery. It was named by Lewis and identified the approximate age is about 14 years. The doctors are convinced it is swift and decisive action Tony, not afraid to get hurt in the fire, rescued the adorable life.

Alas, many other animals were less fortunate: hundreds of koalas literally burned in swept Australia forest fires alive.

It is estimated that today in the fire-affected forests killed at least 350 koalas.
