World-famous American climber died in Mexico after falling from a height of almost 1,000 feet

World famous among climbers and rock climbers American brad Gobnait died after falling from cliffs in Northern Mexico.

The incident occurred on Wednesday in the shining path Sendero in El Potrero Chico. 31-year-old Gabric of orange County (California) was on the mountain with a climbing partner when he fell down from a height of 985 feet.
Rescuers took his body on Thursday. Partner of the deceased, Aidan Jacobson, was brought to the hospital with fractures.

«Aidan ran into the Bush that «buffered» the fall and did not let him fall further. It saved his life. He said that he saw past him flashed brad – and disappeared downstairs,» said another climber Ryan Boris.

The U.S. state Department confirmed the death of brad Gabrica in Mexico.

«We extend our sincere condolences to his family. We are closely monitoring the investigation by local authorities and provide all the necessary consular assistance. Out of respect for the family in this difficult time we have no further comment», — stated in the message of the state Department.

The famous climber Alex Honnold, starring in the movie «Free Solo», wrote in the Instagram post dedicated to Gorito.

«He was such a warm, kind person. I’m terribly sad for brad and his family have suffered this loss. I’m just crushed. Brad was a real man, treasure. World climbing much lost».

Alice heifer, one of the companions of Gorita in rock climbing, said they were shocked by the news.

«He’s always been supportive, believed in them. A few weeks ago he was sitting next to me when we were driving home from Arizona. I will always cherish these moments.»
